Service Description

A look at the processes of distillation, brewing and fermentation. It is illegal in the state of Illinois to produce alcohol (drinking or fuel) through distillation without a permit. What are the legal requirements and permits needed for brewing your own beverages, making wine or distilling alcohol? How is it done? What about essential oils? What function does sugar and yeast have on these processes? Beer, root beer, sauerkraut, kombucha and wine will be explored and experimented with.
